Spring is a wonderful time of year with its longer days and (hopefully) warmer weather. There are plenty of fun Easter activities in and around Crediton. Paint Pots of Devon  Easter bunny trail   25 March – 15 April

Some Easter bunnies have escaped and are hiding all over Crediton! Pick up a trail sheet from Paint Pots of Devon in the Creedy Centre and use the clues to find which High Street shop each one is hiding in. All entries will receive a treat and be entered into a prize draw. It costs £1 per entry and all money raised will be donated to Haywards Primary School.

Easter Trails

The Great Coldridge Easter Egg Hunt will be back in the village centre on Easter Monday starting at 10am in the Village Hall - the hunt progressing around the centre of Coldridge.

Crediton’s community bookshop, The Bookery, is offering on Wednesday 3 April (10am to 4pm) an assortment of Easter themed activities for children aged 5+ to get involved in while you browse books in the shop.

Bow Garden and Aquatic Centre Easter Trail

Help find Peter Rabbit and his friends’ favourite hiding spots in and outside the garden centre and win a full sized Easter egg! Available on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday, anytime from 10am. Only £2 per child. Just sign up at the tills on the day.


Fursdon House and Gardens opens for the season on Monday 1 April and they’ve got plenty to keep the family entertained. The House itself will be open for guided tours at 2.30pm and 3.30pm. Don’t miss the family museum (as part of the guided tour), which showcases 18th century costumes and historic artefacts. Head into the gardens for beautiful walks with lots of spring bulbs,blossom and sweeping views across the valley, as well as an Easter trail for kids with a small prize at the end.

RHS Rosemoor Great Torrington  Giant Easter Egg Hunt   29 March – 14 April

Explore this gorgeous garden while searching for giant decorated Easter eggs. Once you’ve found all the eggs, you’ll be rewarded with a free chocolatey treat from NOMO - the UK’s No. 1 vegan chocolate brand.

Rosemoor are also running free Easter drop-in craft workshops from 10.30am – 12.45pm and 2pm– 3.45pm in the Garden Room.

Wednesday 3rd April - Easter Bunny Face: Turn your self into the Easter bunny and hop into the garden.

Friday 5 April   - Springtime Decoration: Brighten your home by making a sparkling hanging decoration.

Monday 8 April -  Clothes Peg Birds: Make your own multi-coloured bird to peg up at home.

Tuesday 9 April - Daffodil Craft: Make long lasting flowers from paper to enjoy all year round.Sessions are suitable for ages 3+ with adult supervision - garden admission applies, members go free.

National Trust  Knightshayes, near Tiverton  Easter Nature Trail  

Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family.The trail takes place from 23 March to 14 April, from 10am to 5pm, with last entry at 4.30pm, so come along and explore the beautiful gardens of Knightshayes.

Prices are £3 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and a dairy or vegan and ‘Free From’ chocolate egg.

Bernaville Nurseries, near Exeter  Free Easter Trail  30 March - 14 April

Search the garden centre for Easter eggs and bunnies. Complete the activities sheet for a free treat. No booking required simply pop along and enquire at the information desk. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

PlanetPlay in Crediton  Easter storytelling event   Friday 5 April

A special Easter event for babies and toddlers at Crediton’s soft play centre, bringing a brilliant book to life through interactive storytelling, sensory props, messy play and much more!  It’s a one-off Easter special ticket of £8.50 which also includes 1 hour soft play after the class.  There are three sessions, each for a different age group. Landscore School Easter Holiday Camps:  2 & 3 April, 9 & 10 April

These offer a huge variety of sports activities all day, every day from 8am until 5.30pm. Your child may get the chance to take part in glow in the dark dodge ball, water battles, nerf gun battles, football,laser tag, hockey, glow in the dark football, capture the flag, tennis, dance,tri-golf and cricket to name just a few! Every day is different, offering the widest range of activities  and plenty of new faces to make friends with. And they could be the winner of one of our fantastic prizes!

 

Crediton Football Club - Easter Holiday Club sessions.  2 & 3 April, 10 & 11 April

The main focus is fun and participation through skill development and games including competitions and tournaments, with lots of prizes to be won. Scouts from Exeter City Football Club Academy have attended the holiday clubs in the past looking for exceptional local talent. If your son or daughter is showing talent for football, make sure to book them on to one of these clubs for their chance to be seen.

 

CODS are performing The Wedding Singer from 8 to 13 April. Have you got your tickets yet? This hilarious musical comedy, based on the Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore film, is a feel good, feet tapping, laugh out loud show and not to be missed. Get your tickets from the CODS web site
